FIBROMYALGIA SUPPORT GROUP FOR SURREY AND SUSSEX

PRESS RELEASE April 11, 2007

CELEBRATING WORLD FIBROMYALGIA AWARENESS DAY SATURDAY 12TH MAY 2007 10-30AM TO 1-30PM
There will be a Coffee Morning at Guildcare Methold House, North Street, Worthing BN11 1DU starting at 10-30am to celebrate World Fibromyalgia Day.
During the morning there will be the debut UK screening of the
groundbreaking documentary film “Living with Fibromyalgia” made in the USA by Trillusion Media, which has been brought back to the UK by Jo Fisher, Development Officer of the Fibromyalgia Support group for Surrey and Sussex (FMS-SAS). Jo has worked closely with the National Fibromyalgia Association in America and it is through her links that she was able to bring this informative documentary back to this country for the benefit of Fibromyalgia
sufferers and their families in the UK.
This documentary is an excellent resource for sufferers, but can also be hugely beneficial when shown to their friends and families who often do not understand what the sufferer is experiencing. Although the condition is not life threatening, it can be life changing and this can have wider implications for the family as a whole.
“As a group we believe this is going to be a really exciting campaign and will be showing this DVD at various venues in Sussex and Surrey to focus on raising awareness of Fibromyalgia in a positive way”, says Jo Fisher, Development Officer of FMS-SAS.
Tickets for the event are available price £2.00 each. Please call Jo on 01403 255450 Monday to Friday between 10-00am and 4-00pm if you would like to attend.

About FMS Global News

Folllowing Rick Usher's death in December 2008, at his request in September of that year, I had agreed, as his principal contributor and an experienced journalist, to run the FMS Global News service due to his heavy commitments to music and raising research funds through this avenue. Following his sad and sudden death I hope to continue his work as he would have wished.
